What is Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)—more commonly known as tapping—is a gentle, evidence-based practice that combines elements of cognitive therapy, exposure work, and acupressure to support emotional healing and nervous system regulation.

By tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on a challenging emotion, memory, belief, or sensation, you send calming signals to the nervous system. This interrupts the stress response, encouraging stuck emotions to be processed and released from the body safely.

When we’re carrying stress, anxiety, or unresolved emotions, it often shows up physically—through tension, headaches, fatigue, or digestive issues. EFT helps remove energetic blocks that may be contributing to both emotional and physical discomfort.

It’s a holistic and gentle mind-body technique that aims to reduce the body’s stress response, rewire negative associations and regulate emotions by releasing or reducing the emotional intensity of an issue.

This technique can:
✺ Gently reduce stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
✺ Improve your relationship with food and your body
✺ Build body confidence and self-trust
✺ Release limiting beliefs or self-sabotaging thoughts

Whether you're wanting to work through a specific issue or just want to feel more grounded and connected, 1:1 EFT tapping sessions are a safe, calm and supportive space, completely tailored to your needs, to heal from the inside out. Perhaps you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in limiting thought beliefs and patterns, maybe you're ready to gain more self-trust and confidence, or you're ready to release some emotional weight you've been carrying around?

Each 50-minute session is held online in a calm, gentle and welcoming space.

Together, we will go through:
✺ Conversational check-in and intention setting for the session
✺ Personalised tapping sequence based on your needs
✺ Grounding and take-home integrations
(sessions may also include breath and meditation as needed)

No previous experience with EFT is required - just an open mind and heart!

4. Take-Home Integrations


After our session, you’ll receive some take-home integrations to continue using these techniques beyond our session/s and reaffirm what we focused on or uncovered. You may find 1x session feels right or book in for another session!


1. Connect

Whether you’re wanting to book a single session or a couple, we’ll first get in contact and connect. I’ll let you know my availability and we’ll briefly discuss your aims and challenges to see how we can work together.

2. Onboarding

After we have locked in a time and secured your session with payment, I’ll send through an in-depth onboarding questionnaire to be completed before our session. This not only allows you to get clear on your intention and focus, but also ensures we get the most out of our session/s together by letting me know what’s going on and coming up for you ahead of time.

3. We have our Session!

We’ll meet in person or online for your 60-minute session, pulling on a range of modalities including EFT/tapping, reiki, breath and meditation specific to you. This may include gently working with your body to process heightened/negative emotions, manage stress/anxiety, release stored emotions/energy, or explore limiting beliefs, all while regulating your nervous system.

Why 3x sessions are recommended?

While a single EFT session can offer immediate relief and emotional and nervous system regulation, deeper and more complex emotional shifts often require a little more time for long-lasting change.

Three sessions allow us to:
✺ Explore beyond the surface and go deeper into the emotional layers of a core issue (often there's more than one cause).
✺ Build safety and trust with each other, encouraging vulnerability and helping your nervous system feel safe.
✺ Track progress and post-session take-home integrations.
✺ Address related patterns or triggers as they emerge.
